Hey guys and it’s week 7 of Rocco’s Hot 10. It’s been a pretty eventful week for myself. Mental week at work as usual and then a big weekend in London town. Some of the boys were down from Yorkshire and we hit the England Rugby match at Twickenham on Saturday twinned with a bit of a 15 pint bender starting at 11am and finishing around midnight. We went to the Big Chill House near Kings Cross for what was a bit of a Dub, Roots, Dubstep and Reggae night; all in all a quality evening out, finished off with a Chinese which wasn’t really required and tipped a couple of us over the edge Anyway lots of fun was had by all.

Well with regards to the music, for one reason or another i have been acquiring some Old Skool Hip Hop, Electro and Bass tracks over the last week or so. Some pretty common that were missing from my collection and some a little different, all though pretty tasty in my opinion so i thought i’d share the love.

I am also a massive fan of Underworld, especially their early material. But the other day i came across a really attention catching Deep House/Techno remix of Underworld – Holding The Moth by Audiojack. It’s a really ‘simple’ track but has this jackin beat and glitchy vocal which is just mesmerizing. AMAZING.

Also a week or so ago saw the release of Benzi and Diplo’s Mixtape: Fear & Loathing In Hunts Vegas. A quality blend of Hip Hop with some classic chart topping samples from the likes of Underworld and Weezer. Certainly worth a listen though.
