Word. Hows it going guys? Back for another installment of Rocco’s Hot 10, this is the place to find out what we has been playing non stop on our speakers/headphones over the past week, and also to catch up with all things Mnuvrs.

This week i got hold of my new CD decks and mixer so have been rocking the crib non stop for the last week. Landlord is away this week so get to crank everything up to 11 and perhaps put a little mix together.

There has been quite a variety of different tunes hitting our ears this past week, starting with a new tune from the brilliant MILTON JACKSON with his tight production and groovy style shining through again he has hit us with another foot stomper; BACKWARD DISCO. The track features on JACKSON’s debut album which dropped today, it’s called CRASH and can be found on the FREERANGE label.

As you may have guessed, the bass has been featuring heavily once again on our playlists with tracks from the subliminal ZOMBY, BREAKAGE as well as the brilliant remix by AC SLATER & DJ SKEET SKEET of the LITTLE BOOTS track: MEDDLE. And still the ressurgance of some classic French house sounds are surfacing with LE KNIGHT CLUB providing us entertainment this week and their fantastic little number, which is sure to have you bouncing; RHUMBA. ROYKSOPP have also returned this year with their new track HAPPY UP HERE, the original is brilliant and very hard to top indeed but they have accompanied it with some subtle and effective mixes by the likes of BREAKBOT, DATASETTE and also BOYS NOIZE. Although the outfit from Berlin may not have been as subtle with their approach to the mix, it’s definately a grower and will have you listening over and over with its hypnotic repetitiveness and ghostly vocals. Superb.
