Hailing from West London, Silkie released his debut LP, City Limits Volume 1 last July. The LP was released on the Dubstep label Deep Medi Musik, run by Mala of Digital Mystikz. Back in 2008, Silkie was also selected to represent the bass scene on Mary-Anne Hobbs’ live mix showcase Generation Bass.
Although his debut LP is now over 6 months old, it has only just dropped into our iTunes library and has been on constant repeat since. With a very laid back bass style, Silkies tracks will have you reiniscing of the first time you heard Burial’s seminal debut album. Silkie has just been on tour down under but will surely be making vast amounts of appearences across London and the rest of the UK very shortly.
