Schlachthoxbronx, a favorite over at MNUVRS have just dropped a big remix comp!

Benedict and Jacob have just released their debut album on Disko B – here’s your chance to remix one of the new tracks “Mad Instrument”!

1. You can either download stems and remix using your own software or work online with the Tracks & Fields sequencer….the choice is yours! And don’t forget you can form discussion groups with your fellow remixers to share inspiration, tech talk or anything else!

2. Publish your remix here. You are not allowed to publish/post your remix or the stems from this contest on any other site – you may only use Tracks& Fields widgets for this purpose. Any user found to be doing so will be disqualified from this contest.

3. Do not infringe anyone’s copyright: only use your own or royalty free/creative commons licensed material! Disko B/Schlachthofbronx remain the sole copyright owner of the song ‘Mad Instrument’ and all audio stems from this contest.

4. Disko B will have free commercial and promotional rights of all remixes and retain all copyrights. Remixes can be included in upcoming releases for future promotional campaigns. No payment changes hands.

5. Disko B/Schlachthof Bronx will choose the best remix – the entrant with the most votes will not necessarily win this contest.

Mnuvrs Episode 2 with REX – Hype FM: COMPETITION [02] – NOW CLOSED!

Following on from Rocco’ HypeFM radio slot, our boy REX AKA DYNAMO will be holding the fort for July’s radio slot (first Wednesday of each month), filling you up with some Bass, B’more, some scratchy Electro and maybe a little Tropical twist to kick this summer season off!

Once again, we are running the listener guest mix competition again! Think you’re good enough to get on our show? Then show us what your made of! We love to hear a good mixtape, so, get spinnin’ on those 1′s & 2′s…or keys, or dust-bin lids, or whatever monstrosity of instruments you can, the more mental the better! MNUVRS will be featuring your mix in the MNUVRS X HypeFM radio show which is to be aired on the first Wednesday of July (July 1st).

Your mix should be no longer than 30 minutes and will feature in our Hype FM show. We will credit you the DJ as well as providing listeners with links to your mix and MySpace page. As well as this we will feature the mix on our site including a full Artist profile for readers to view.

If you would like to enter the competition, simply leave a comment on this post with a link to your 30 minute mix including a tracklisting, your name, email and your MySpace page (if you have one).

The winner will be decided by our panel of expert music lovers here at Mnuvrs and we will announce the winner a few days before the show. We look forward to hearing your entries and can’t wait to hear some mad skillzzzz.

ABOUT HYPE FM:

TheHype.FM was started with the intention of expanding on the whole “do it yourself” attitude towards music that came with the growing popularity of music blogs; we loved the idea of people writing about, sharing, and promoting music just because they were truly passionate about it. However, we felt that as great as the blogs were, there is only so much time one could spend actively searching and fishing through posts. There needed to be something to do while you just sat back and worked/surfed the net/relaxed at home/etc., but also something to expose users to new (and often unreleased or unknown) music, not a program that uses computer algorithms to sift through what is already popular.

At the same time though, we also wanted to work together with the most influential bloggers and artists who had given us so much inspiration, by giving them another medium to promote great music. This is when, back in late 2007, the idea for TheHype.FM was born.

As you may have read on the site, we have nailed a slot on the newely designed and launched HYPE FM.

ABOUT HYPE FM:

TheHype.FM was started with the intention of expanding on the whole “do it yourself” attitude towards music that came with the growing popularity of music blogs; we loved the idea of people writing about, sharing, and promoting music just because they were truly passionate about it.
